The week after Thanksgiving began the weekend long baby shower extravaganza! Since I live 9 hours away from Tulsa, we had to cram in four fabulous baby showers into one weekend. It was awesome. One of my favorite things that I heard all weekend was from my sweet friend Karen. She said,
"Four baby showers?! Wow, Abby. You are really loved."
Such simple words that mean so much. I really am so unbelievably loved, and I am so thankful for my friends, family and loved ones who love me and Jamie enough to throw our baby a party in celebration of her without even knowing her. We are all undeniably loved so very much, and I am so thankful for the generosity shown by friends and family.
The first baby shower was in Bartlesville and it started out fabulously! Camie, Tracy and Cheryl were my fabulous hostesses and I just had a ball.
Here are a few pictures from that evening.
Me with a bunch of baby clothes decorating the mantel:
Mom and Daughter pic with my Mama, Kim, me and Camie:
The Schoenthaler girls:
Opening gifts--this is a Baby Bullet to make baby food:
I am certainly going to use store bought baby food, but I thought it might be fun to make some of my own baby food from time to time.
I had a ball opening gifts. It kind of made having this baby a little more real :)
Leopard rocking horse from my mom and Angela:
I love it!!! It'll be more of a decoration for the first year or so until she's big enough to ride it, but it sure is cute.
Another mom and daughter picture with the four of us:
I LOVED all of the onesies! I forget how tiny babies are until I see their clothes:
Kim, admiring all of Sweet Pea's gifts:
Sweet little blanket:
Melting over the baby socks and hairbows:
Snugabunny Baby Bouncer:
This was recommended to me by tons of mommies, and I'm gad I got one! My mom told me that I'm going to want plenty of "weapons" in the middle of the night when this baby won't sleep. So, I think this will come in handy :)
Diapers:
Rumor has it, I'll be using quite a few diapers on this baby of mine.
Fabulous gifts given by some even more fabulous people:
Baby clothes absolutely slay me:
Why I felt the need to hold it up to me? I just don't know:
Ralph Lauren Baby Dresses:
I die.
From beginning to end, this was a fantastic shower, and thank you again to Cheryl, Camie and Tracy! I love you three so very dearly and loved my first baby shower! Thank you to everyone else who was able to come! I promise your thank you notes are on the way. I got a late start, but they're coming!
I'll keep updating throughout the week about my other three baby showers. They were all pretty fantastic! Love you guys! Hope you're having a lovely day!
Oh! It's Thirsty Thursday, so be sure to get you something yummy to sip on this afternoon or evening. I'm about to go hit up Sonic Happy Hour and get something tasty to get me going through this last half of the work day. I'm thinking a Diet Coke with Diet Cherry...mmm...yep. That's happening.
Xoxo!!
