Welcome back to the blog world, Abby!!
I'm sure that's what you guys are thinking. It's been quite some time since I've made an appearance on "A Deeper Life" but I'm back and ready for a few posts!
Let's back up a month.
The fist week of June, Jamie was going to be out of town for five days, so I decided to make a little road trip to Houston to visit my sister and brother-in-law. I invited my mama to come along as well, because it's always fun to have Nana Lana around.
My mom flew into Lafayette, and we made the trek to Houston Monday morning. It was so nice to have her on the drive because she sat in the back seat and entertained Lucy girl when she was awake and rather bored with being in the car.
I did a poor job documenting our visit, but it basically included shopping, eating, and lounging. Three things that I am mighty good at. Oh. And playing with Lucy.
Another great thing about this trip is that Uncle Jon got to meet Lucy girl for the first time! It's insane that it took almost 4 months for the two to meet, but I'm thrilled that he finally got to love on his niece :)
Here are the few pictures I managed to take from our visit...
Angel and Lucy at Houston's:

This was her first time in a pool (and my first time in a one piece since my Kanakuk days) and I think she liked it!

How cute is the pok-a-dot dress?

Since it was about 4 million degrees outside, my mom and I took a little trip to the Houston aquarium, and it was a great success! Lucy loved it!! Totally captivated by the fish:
It was a perfect few days and I was thrilled to get to spend time with my mama, sister and brother-in-law. Must do it again!
I'll do my best to get better at updating you with the happenings of my life as a mommy and Lucy's growing up, but no promises :) Thanks for sticking around. Love you guys dearly!
