Temporary Hiatus

Hiatus: A pause or gap in a sequence, series or process.

I just took a temporary hiatus--or break--from blogging. I don't have much going on. It was starting to depress me. So I took a break.

While I've been gone, here's what you missed:

1.) Jamie and I celebrated 3 fantabulous years of marriage!

June 26th was our anniversary, and a fabulous day it was :) Since our actual anniversary was on a Tuesday, we celebrated on Friday by going to Ruth's Chris for dinner. Oh. My. Yum. We had steaks, potatoes, salads, sautéed mushrooms and a yummy chocolate dessert. I love anniversary dinners.

2. We love the movie, Grown Ups.

I bought this movie for me and Jamie for our anniversary, because it is one of our favorites! It's full of stupid and fabulous humor and there are even bloopers at the end! So stinkin' funny!

3. I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!

Jamie's parents surprised the "kids" with a trip to Disney World this summer! Next week, Jamie, Camie, Kirby and I head to paradise for a fabulous four day vacation to my favorite place in the world. Ya'll, when I found out we were headed to heaven on earth, I was on a walk with Leia and I started bawling of pure joy and elation! I may or may not have been watching Disney documentaries on Facebook, memorizing the Disney website, downloaded Disney aps on my phone and more. I'm stoked beyond stoked.

4. I made my favorite salad tonight: Vietnamese Spinach Salad.

I'll give ya'll a recipe another time, but this salad is da-bomb-digity! So good.

5. The ladies at the salon thing I need to get surgery on my other eye so that my eyebrow arch matches...

First of all, this picture is really really scary. I didn't realize I looked so alien-like with my eyes closed...yipes!...anyways...

I got my eyebrows waxed a couple weeks ago, and the lady who did it told me that one arch is pretty and the other is ugly. She said those words. I told her that I had surgery on the left side of my forehead to remove a birthmark years ago, so that's why I have a higher arch on that side. She called her buddies over to look at my really beautiful left arch and my horribly hideous, frightening, ugly, flat arch and they all agreed that I need to do a voluntary plastic surgery to "fix" my right arch. These ladies probably  have bigger things to worry about than my uneven arches. Bunch o' crazies!

6. I'm going to Charleston, SC with my family in August!!!

My parents good friends (the parents of one of my high school friends) have a home in Charleston, South Carolina, and they have oh so graciously offered for us to stay at there home whenever we can all get together! So we are! My parents, my sister Angela and Jon, Jamie and I are headed to Charleston the first week of August and I can hardly wait! I've always wanted to visit South Carolina and this will be the perfect time to spend with my family in a new city! So pumped! We'll explore the historical city, play in the ocean, cook, eat, play, have great conversation, sleep in, relax on the porch, walk around and more! My bucket is so full right now with the pure joy and happiness I'm going to experience in the upcoming weeks :)

7. I bought turkey cheddar hot dogs the other day. I don't eat hot dogs. I don't even really like them. But I saw them at Target the other day, and I needed them. I needed to eat them. So I bought a pack and some buns, and they're quite delicious. Why have I been so anti-hotdog all this time? So good.

8. I saw the movie, BRAVE, the other day. So good.

Last week, a few ladies I work with and I went to McAlister's for dinner and then to see Brave, the newest Disney movie that's out. You guys, this movie is so good! It's actually a sweet mother-daughter movie, that is really touching and tender-hearted. I've also decided that I want a red-headed, curly-haired daughter, because the girl in this movie is beautiful! Yes, I know she's a cartoon, but she's just too cute for words! I am also going to teach my children how to talk in a Scottish accent. I love it :)

9. I have the cutest dog in the world.

10. I have the cutest husband in the world.

The last two are a given. No pictures necessary.

So, that's what going on in my life! I'm sorry I've been gone for so long from the blog world, but doubt too many of you missed me. BUT, in case you've lost sleep over not knowing what's going on in my super exhilarating life (note sarcasm), I'll do my best to keep you updated from time to time and not disappear for quite so long again.

Hope ya'll are doing well! And in case no one has told you this week, I love you dearly! You are loved by me, but even greater, you are loved by a gracious and faithful God! I hope you know that, sweet friends. Jesus loves you so very much.

That's all for today.

Love.
