Baby Shower Number...6

Lord have mercy...last week I got to enjoy baby shower #6. I mean really. Who has 6 baby showers?!

THIS GIRL AND MY BABY GIRL!!!

The sweet ladies that I work with threw me yet another surprise baby shower. Emily, Carmen and I were going to go to dinner and then to a movie last Tuesday night.  We all met at La Pizzeria after work and were excited to see Les Miserables, and come to find out, Cindy and Carolyn were there as well!

I got to dinner thinking that they were just going to join us for dinner and the movie, but then they said this was my surprise mini baby shower! And a surprise it was! So fun!

Baby Scho got a few more outfits (this little lady will be well dressed, that's for sure!)--including a casual Ralph Lauren onesie, a leopard dress with matching tights, and two more fancy "picturesque" dresses that will be perfect for Easter and pretty pictures. Carmen also got her a sweet little picture frame to put in her room, and it is actually the first frame that we have in there. I can't wait to put a picture of her in it. She's going to be so precious!

Thank you all so much for being so generous to love on me and Baby Scho and give her a few gifts. I so appreciate it :)

Here we are at dinner:

Me, Emily, Carolyn, Cindy and Carmen

Love you ladies, so very dearly! Thanks again!

Today I had my 35 week check up, and it came with very good news. First of all, my baby girl's heart beat was a strong 156 beats per minute. Healthy little girl! So thankful for that! And here's the best part...she is head down--no longer in a breached position! Granted, that could still change, but we're so thankful that she shinnied on down and got in a good birthing position :) Good girl, Sweet Pea! Like I've said before, I am 100% fine and comfortable with having a c-section, but if I can avoid having a surgical  procedure while delivering, that'd be even better :) Thank you all for your fervent prayers for my little girl. God has been undeniably faithful to prayer and for that, I am thankful.

To Him be the glory!

Also, I have recently learned about the pertussis vaccination. The whooping cough has come back, and can be fatal for babies if they fall victim to this infection. It has been highly recommended to me by my doctor to go ahead and get the vaccination, as well as Jamie and our families. Really anyone who is going to be handling my sweet girl should go ahead and get the vaccination.  Family, close friends, anyone who will be around her as an infant...please get the shot. I won't be a nazi about it, but I do feel strongly about keeping my baby healthy. You would be too if you carried a human being for 9 months in your tummy! So if you are reading this and are going to be around my little girl, I ask that you consider getting the pertussis shot. You can go to your local Walgreens and get it done there. I'll be going this week to get it, because I want to get vaccinated and give my little one a bit of it too so that she'll come out nice and strong. Thank you all so much! I appreciate it greatly!

T-minus less than 5 weeks until we meet this little one! Beyond excited!

Love you guys!

  2. Hi Tosha! You are so sweet! Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you. I actually had my baby on February 13th, so I've been a little busy :) I am doing amazingly well, and I'm thrilled my baby is here safely! Stay in touch--I'm about to post my first blog about her! Hope you're having a nice weekend!
