Second of all, I've been super productive today, and it's only 1:20! I woke up, had breakfast with Jamie (Frosted Mini Wheats....yummolicious!), took a power nap (because Leia decided she wanted to play at 3:04 in the morning), went to the gym, went on a long walk outside, mowed, showered and now blogging! I feel good to have gotten all of that done before lunch time. I need to paint my piggies and file my nails because these claws are making it hard to type!
At the gym, I saw something incredible! There was a lady on the elliptical in front of me who was unashamedly air drumming and having her own little concert!!! Oh it was brilliant! First of all, she was closing her eyes and singing (out loud might I add), swaying her head like Stevie Wonder. Then she just started air drumming like she was daggum Travis Barker! Then she put her hands in the air and started waving them from side to side. Thank you, lady, for making my workout much more entertaining. I would have taken a picture on my phone, but I didn't have the guts. Maybe next time....maybe.
Give Yourself a Hug Today
I am declaring today: "Give Yourself A Hug Today" day! I am one of the meanest people when it comes to loving myself. I critique. I gripe. I pick and complain. I tear myself up. I dissect myself and leave the pieces apart. We are all our own worst critics, but we forget one little thing. We are children of God and His very special and intricate creation. Our bodies are a temple unto Him, and we need to honor that more.
Take about 1 minute to watch this video. PS--I FINALLY figured out how to watch a video right here rather than paste a link for you to go to. So seriously...watch the video :)
Now that you've watched this precious little girl, go do the same thing today. Look at yourself in the mirror and verbally say what you like about yourself! Name some physical things and emotional things and spiritual things that you truly do love about yourself. There's one rule: NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS! This is just a step in positivity training. But really, love yourself today, and try to avoid negative thoughts and feelings.
Genesis 1:27: "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female, He created them."
Get some inspiration from Sister Maria from "The Sound of Music" to get some confidence :)
Quiet Time:
Jamie and I have read Genesis 1-6 and Romans 1-2 this week and we're really enjoying the YouVersion bible reading plan. I will always love Genesis 1, when it talks about creation. I can't believe that people believe in the Big Bang junk, because no bit of science could create what our God created from nothing! Take some time to read Genesis 1 here and be amazed at how amazing our God is!
I was reading outside the other day and this is what I saw from my backyard:
You can't tell me some "big bang" made this! Thank you, Jesus for this pretty picture!!
I hope you all have an INCREDIBLE weekend and that you do something fun and relaxing!
Love you guys and God bless ya!
